A great deal of the teaching of Christian churches has been about sexual matters and marriage. Modern Church has generally supported liberalising tendencies.

Early in the twentieth century we supported the legislation to permit divorce and argued for the moral acceptability of contraception. Recently we have been supporting full acceptance of gay and lesbian sexuality. A member with a trans history has contributed insightful reflections from his journey.
