DESCRIPTION:Please note this conference will be running in a different format – details TBC\n \nIn 1921 Modern Church (then, ‘The Modern Churchmen’s Union’) held a conference at Girton College Cambridge on Christ and the Creeds. It was, in English Church life, ground-breaking. Reports of the conference and Leader articles were written about it. It had a profound effect on the Church of England’s Doctrine Commission just seven years later.\nThis day conference will both look back at the impact of the 1921 conference, and explore Christ, Creeds, and belief today.\nSpeakers include, Prof John Barton, Prof Mark Chapman, The Rev Jared Robinson-Brown, Canon Alan Race, and the Rev Jonathan Clatworthy.\nThe conference will be held ‘in-person’, but numbers are limited to 60. It will also be able to join the conference online.
