SUMMARY:Christ and Controversy: Canon Dr. Alan Race:  ‘Does it matter if Jesus did not think he was divine?’
DESCRIPTION:Alan Race, Chair of Modern Church, will give the third and final  of our online lecture series, which is timed for the 100th anniversary of the Girton Conference.\nIn 1921 Modern Church (then, ‘The Modern Churchmen’s Union’) held a conference at Girton College Cambridge on Christ and the Creeds. It was, in English Church life, ground-breaking. Reports of the conference and Leader articles were written about it. It had a profound effect on the Church of England’s Doctrine Commission just seven years later.\nThis series of lectures will be free to attend, with donations gratefully received for the work of SCM.\nLectures will be broadcast on our Youtube Channel, if you would like to ask a question then please click ‘Watch on Youtube’ below or click here ( https://youtu.be/XaUW4SkNJmw ). The live chat is on the right.\n\n
